24/06: The
changes I've made seem to be working - not only is Pawprint now given a
"Safe Site" ranking again by Norton SafeWeb, bit it no longer prompts a
Google warning.
23/06: As you may be aware, someone had
recently managed to infect the site
with "Malware".
Fortunately, "Google" spotted this, as they regularly
monitor sites for problems, and posted a warning that should have prevented
anyone from entering.
I've spent the past month trying to work out how to solve
the problem, as a result of which I have now deleted all of the pages which
were online.
Norton Safeweb, which I
have constantly enabled when browsing, now states "Norton Safe Web found no
issues with this site".
I've also run a complete system scan, using "Norton 360",
on the web pages stored on my computer, and that scan confirms that these
contain no threats.
So, I haven't lost any pages, but it'll take a while before
I can get them all back up online, as there are an enormous number of pages
(over 5,000 items, including pictures and tables).
I've begun uploading these files, beginning with
the news and results
archive for 2008-9, and the first few news
stories from the close-season, but I'm taking the opportunity of checking
each page individually, to improve the overall site-experience (and accuracy!).
News stories which have come in
during the last month should be available within a few days.
Pete Jacques, Webmaster, Pawprint.
