HISTORY:

City of Bristol Storm had already competed in EBL Division 2 Women since 2006.

With an existing junior development programme, and a post-16 basketball programme at the City Academy, Bristol Storm were in a position to enter men's team into the West of England Basketball League in 2007-8, and were accepted into divisions 1 and 3.

Through natural progression, the team applied for entry into EBL division 4 in 2008, and were accepted.
