Filton Flyers entered EBL3 in 2005.
As I understand it, the current
situation is this:
Direct links have been forged between
Bristol Basketball Club and Filton College, which now has an accredited
Basketball Academy, while Bristol were awarded 4
star club rating from EB. The Filton Flyers, have now joined EBL3, and Bristol
have become an under-22 side, still in EBL3, but as a separate club,
as teams from the same club are not permitted to play in the same division.
The intention appears to be
that the Flyers will push for promotion, and that once they are in a different
division there will become a more formal (and official) connection between the
teams.
