Based on their hugely successful junior development programme, as part of the Greater Manchester Youth Basketball set-up, Manchester Mystics entered a team in EBL Division 2 Women in 2004.

A reasonable first season saw them finish just outside the play-offs, in fifth place, and they then qualified for EBL1 through the Regional Qualifying Leagues that operated at the start of the 2004-5 season.

As above

With so many young players still coming through the development programme, Manchester introduced "Mystics II", in 2005. After one season, however, they withdrew, in favour of returning to Under-18 League competition (having won the Sureshot U-18 Women's Cup in 2006, despite not playing in the U-18 league).

Re-entered for 2007-8, but disappeared from fixture list before start of season, though they continued to play in the National Trophy, reaching the semi-final stage.
