HISTORY:

Tamar Valley Cannons entered NBL 3 in 2000, and although they finished in tenth place, they benefited from the disappearance of that division, as the divisions above expanded, and in 2001 they found themselves in NBL 2 South.

With a year's League experience behind them, they finished fourth in their first season in that division, and the following year they walked away with the Southern title, remaining unbeaten until February, by which time the title was secure, and they won promotion.

The competition proved much tougher in the renamed EBL 2, and after finishing in ninth place in 2004, they dropped to last place in 2005.

With so many strong applicants seeking promotion from Division 3, Tamar Valley were formally relegated to EBL3, but the Cannons regained their Division 2 status when Solent II declined the offer of promotion. Further consolidation resulted in an eighth place finish in both 2006 and 2007.

In 2007 the club strengthened their links with Plymouth Marjons College and changed their name to Plymouth Marjon Cannons.
