5000 Go North from the Tyne Bridge on the A167(M). At the junction with the A1058 follow Tynemouth/Coast Road. Follow the A1058 and you will pass a Petrol Station on your left hand side, at the next turn off the Coast Road Campus is sign posted and you will see the campus on your left hand side. Take the slip road on the left onto Embleton Avenue (NE28 9NJ). The student car park is situated in front of you and the sports centre is on your left. |

Formed in 2006, Tyne Metropolitan Trojans Basketball Club are part of the North Tyneside Basketball Development Plan.
Based at Tyne Metropolitan College they work in partnership with the local sports colleges providing outlets for those who are wanting to participate in basketball both recreationally and competitively.
On court they struggled in their first season, finishing last in EBL4 North, with just a single victory, though their development work (not only with players but with officials and table officials) was strong.
Recruitment over the Summer promises a better season in their second year.
