This was the original

for one Season. There is such a long gap until the arrival of the next
Sheffield team (1991) that I’ve kept their record separate.

Essex & Herts Leopards |
BBL: 1994-2003
EBL 1: 2005-2006
|
The Leopards were a new
franchise invited (due to their use of the London Arena) to replace
Guildford in BBL in 1994. Initially played as just “Leopards” (as Towers
claimed exclusive use of “London”), then as “Greater London”. A couple of
years after moving out of London Arena, to Brentwood, they formally renamed
themselves “Essex”. Withdrew “temporarily” in 2003. In 2005 the Essex &
Herts Leopards (a merger of Ware Rebels and Leopards' Supporters) ceased to
play any games at Wodson Park, and so I consider that at this point they are
a "successor" club to Leopards. |
