West Notts College already have a good tradition of involvement with basketball development in the Nottinghamshire area, and, following the demise of WNC Mansfield (part of the old, highly successful Mansfield Express club) the College have now linked up with the ambitious Mansfield Giants to enhance the Under-18 programme.

The first practical result of that link is this coming weekend, with an Open Day being held at Mansfield's Oak Tree Leisure Centre:

WNC Mansfield Giants U-18 Open Day

West Notts College Mansfield and Mansfield Giants are working together to run WNC Mansfield Giants U18 Boys Team.  Players can either join and play for the WNC Mansfield Giants Academy and get some excellent education at West Notts College whilst also playing basketball or they can join the National League Team. 

The programme has seen top players such as David ‘Tin Tin’ Watts now playing at Reading Rockets play there and this is an excellent opportunity for any budding basketball players throughout the country!

When: Saturday 7^th June

Time: 12.30pm-3pm

Where: Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Mansfield, NG18 4LA

Why:

*To begin preparing for the 2008/09 season.

*To speak with potential players.

*This will be an opportunity for players to meet the coaching staff and ask any questions.
