In the National Cup, the 11 BBL clubs will be joined
by five invited NBL Conference clubs, producing eight first round games, which
will be played in a straight knock-out single-game format.
Teesside Mohawk, Plymouth Raiders, Solent Stars,
Kingston Wildcats and Manchester Magic are the guest teams, invited because of
their positions in last season's NBL Conference.
Last season's National Cup winners Chester Jets open
up the defence of their crown away to the Scottish Rocks, whilst the other
finalists Birmingham Bullets face Manchester Magic.
Other mouth-watering ties are provided by two
all-BBL ties with Milton Keynes Lions entertaining Kinder London Towers and
Westfield Sharks Sheffield playing Newcastle Eagles.
